Amex Gold Card Overhauls Benefits with Hotel Bonus and Dining Credits

The American Express Gold Card has been updated to offer enhanced benefits for its cardholders. The changes include a 5X points bonus on prepaid hotel stays booked via Amex Travel, which is a significant increase from previous rates.

The new benefits also extend to Hertz Five Star status and expanded dining credits that cover Grubhub, Resy, Dunkin', and Uber, totaling up to $324 annually if fully utilized. However, cardholders must enroll individually for most of these credits.

The annual fee remains at $325, which may deter some potential applicants. It's worth noting that the changes aim to boost value for frequent travelers and diners, particularly those booking through Amex's travel portal.
