Amex Gold Card Rewards Dining, Travel, and Groceries

The American Express Gold Card offers a range of rewards and benefits for cardholders who regularly dine out, travel, or shop at US supermarkets. New cardholders can earn up to 100,000 points after spending $8,000 in six months, with points earning rates of 4x at restaurants and US supermarkets up to annual caps.

In addition to these rewards, the card includes annual statement credits totaling $324, including $120 for Uber, $100 for Resy, $84 for Dunkin', and $120 for select dining partners. Enrollment is required for most credits. The card's benefits also include Hertz status and no foreign fees.

Cardholders who frequently use the enrolled partners and book travel through Amex platforms can maximize their rewards, which transfer to airline and hotel partners. Users also gain access to Amex Offers and purchase protections. However, those outside the US or infrequent diners may find benefits less compelling.
