Amex Offers Tap-to-Ride Points Giveaway in Japan

American Express is running a campaign to encourage customers to use their credit cards for tap-to-ride services on various Japanese railways. The 'Tap to Ride with Your Credit Card! Win Points Campaign' will take place from August 1 through 31, 2026.

Customers who use their credit card for at least one tap-to-ride service during the campaign period will be entered into a drawing. A total of 10,000 winners will receive 2,000 Membership Rewards bonus points.

Riders can earn additional entries by making eligible payments of ¥100 or more (including tax), including tap-to-ride transactions. Payments made before the ride will also be counted retroactively.
