Amex Platinum Q4 credits reset October 1 avoid missing out
American Express Platinum Cardholders need to check their benefits dashboard, as several credits and allowances reset on October 1. The Resy dining credit and lululemon allowance have been renewed at $100 and $75, respectively. Monthly perks like Uber Cash and Walmart+ have also refreshed, while annual credits remain unchanged until January.
Quarterly and monthly credits, such as those for Uber, Digital Entertainment, and Walmart+, require enrollment to avoid forfeiture. Semi-annual hotel credits remain active through December, but the $600 hotel credit, available from July to December, expires on December 31. Annual credits like CLEAR+ and Equinox will reset in January.
Unused credits do not roll over and expire at the end of each period. Cardholders paying the $895 annual fee should audit their dashboard to ensure they claim all benefits. Failing to use Q4 benefits means effectively paying more for services not received.
Why it matters: Unused credits vanish permanently, so travelers must claim them before deadlines. Not utilizing Q4 benefits could raise the card’s real cost beyond the annual fee.
