Amex Points Now Transferable to ALL Accor Hotels at 3:1 Rate

Changes have been made to American Express Membership Rewards points transfers. Points can now be transferred to ALL Accor hotels at a rate of 3:1, resulting in a guaranteed value of 0.57p per point. This update also sees the Emirates Skywards transfer rate drop from 2:1 to 2:1, reducing its value.

The addition of ALL Accor as a partner and the decrease in Emirates Skyward's transfer rate will likely shift travelers' redemption strategies towards airline miles or Marriott Bonvoy. Strategic redemptions at these partners can still yield higher values than the fixed return from transferring to ALL Accor.

Travelers holding American Express cards should reassess their point allocation before future bookings, especially if targeting Emirates or Accor properties. This is because the new transfer rates may offer less flexibility or lower yields for certain redemptions.
