Amgen Expands in Telangana with Genome Valley Innovation Centre
Amgen, a global biotechnology leader, is setting up an innovation centre at Genome Valley in Hyderabad. The state-of-the-art Research and Innovation Centre will further strengthen Telangana's position as a leading destination for life sciences research and innovation.
Amgen India signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the government of Telangana, which was witnessed by IT & Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu. This marks Amgen's continued expansion in Hyderabad, where it has already established a major Global Capability Centre (GCC) with around 3,000 employees.
The proposed Research and Innovation Centre at Genome Valley is expected to create employment opportunities for highly skilled professionals and add momentum to Hyderabad's emergence as a global hub for advanced life sciences research. Telangana Minister Sridhar Babu welcomed the development, highlighting the state's growing confidence in its talent pool, infrastructure, and innovation ecosystem.
