Amgen Posts Strong Q2 Revenue Growth on Key Product Sales
Amgen reported Q2 revenue of over $10 billion, up 10% from last year. The company's growth drivers increased by 26% year-over-year and accounted for nearly 70% of product sales.
The key products driving sales growth include Repatha, EVENITY, TEZSPIRE, rare-disease portfolio, innovative oncology products, and biosimilars. Repatha saw a 37% increase in sales to $953 million, driven by both existing cardiologists treating more patients and expanding prescribing among primary-care physicians.
EVENITY sales increased 38% to $714 million, with the drug reaching mid-single-digit penetration among U.S. women at very high fracture risk. In Japan, EVENITY held over 55% volume share, and 1 million patients have been treated there.
