Amgen Sees 26% Growth in Core Products Amid Robust Revenue
Amgen's executives highlighted several key growth drivers during their recent discussion at Wells Fargo. The company saw its six core products grow by 26% year over year in the second quarter, accounting for nearly 70% of product sales. Total revenue exceeded $10 billion and rose 10% from a year earlier.
Repatha grew 37% year over year in the second quarter, while new-to-brand prescriptions increased more than 50%. IMDELLTRA showed positive results in Phase III trials for small cell lung cancer, demonstrating statistically significant improvements in overall survival and progression-free survival. Amgen is advancing a broad Phase III program in both extensive-stage and limited-stage small cell lung cancer.
Amgen is also continuing development of several other products, including MariTide, dasotralimab, and xaluritamig in Phase III development. The company remains committed to maintaining high margins while investing in growth opportunities.
