Amgen's Dazodalibep Shows Promise in Treating Sjögren's Disease

Amgen Inc.'s experimental drug dazodalibep has shown promise in treating patients with moderate-to-severe Sjögren's disease, a chronic autoimmune condition without an approved treatment. In a late-stage trial, patients given the drug experienced statistically significant and clinically meaningful improvement after 48 weeks of treatment.

The study's primary goal was met, with some patients starting to benefit in as little as four weeks. Amgen said this indicates the potential for dazodalibep to offer an effective therapy for Sjögren's disease sufferers.
