Ampersand Secures $15 Million to Link AI Agents with Enterprise Software
Ampersand, a San Francisco-based developer platform, has secured $15 million in Series A funding to tackle the challenge of integrating AI applications with legacy enterprise software. The round, led by Bessemer Venture Partners, closed on October 6, 2026, and included participation from returning backers Matrix and Flex Capital, as well as new investors Yelp and Mana Ventures. With this infusion, Ampersand’s total funding has grown to approximately $19.7 to $20.7 million since its founding in 2022.
The company’s mission is to enable agentic applications, AI software that performs autonomous actions, to interact seamlessly with systems of record like Salesforce and NetSuite. These systems are often heavily customized, making integrations complex. Ampersand focuses on deep integrations that account for these customizations, distinguishing itself from traditional integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS) tools, which offer broader but shallower connections.
Alongside the funding announcement, Ampersand introduced Andi, an AI integration agent now in beta. Andi is designed to assist developers with the tedious, customer-specific configuration work required to ensure data synchronization functions properly within a company’s unique environment.
The timing of this funding is significant as the broader sector moves toward standardized protocols for AI software interactions. Ampersand aims to bridge legacy systems with newer AI tools rather than replace them, positioning itself as a critical enabler in the evolving enterprise AI landscape.
