ANA Green Pokémon Jet Takes to the Skies This September
All Nippon Airways (ANA) is reviving its popular Pokémon-themed livery on one of its Boeing 787-9 jets. The Green Pokémon Jet will enter service on September 18, 2026, and operate on international routes until March 27, 2027. This is the second in a trio of anniversary schemes, with two other planes already sporting red and blue liveries.
The airline has been flying Pokémon-themed jets since 1998, when it introduced the first two aircraft with designs featuring all 151 creatures from the time. The scheme was a huge hit, and ANA returned to its roots in 2023 with the Pikachu Jet NH, a Boeing 787-9.
Alongside the new livery, ANA is also launching the second phase of its Pokémon GO tie-in at 14 Japanese airports. This includes branded PokeStops and Gyms, where players can participate in raid battles and timed research events.
