Google Cloud's Gemini Enterprise for Legal solution has integrated with Free Law Project's CourtListener Model Context Protocol (MCP) server. This integration allows AI agents on Gemini Enterprise to access verifiable legal research data from CourtListener, which includes case law records, federal court filings, and oral argument transcripts.

The integration unlocks advanced legal research capabilities for litigation teams, compliance-minded firms, and teams tracking multiple cases. For example, an agent can be asked to summarize every circuit split on a doctrine or verify citations in incoming briefs against primary sources.

Michael Lissner, Executive Director of Free Law Project, stated that the goal is 'to bring high-quality legal research to everybody.' Satish Thomas, Vice President at Google Cloud, added that the integration delivers 'the speed, trust, and transparency that legal departments and law firms demand.'
