Anderson Takes Helm at McDonald's USA Amid Leadership Change
McDonald's has announced a leadership change in its U.S. operations. Effective August 4, 2026, Joe Erlinger stepped down as Executive Vice President and President of McDonald's USA after nearly seven years in the role. Erlinger will remain an advisor until early 2027 to ensure a smooth transition.
The board has appointed Skye Anderson as his replacement. A 26-year company veteran and former U.S. Chief Operating Officer, Anderson will oversee nearly 14,000 restaurants and lead the execution of the McDonald's > NEXT strategy in the U.S., which aims to enhance value, operations, and growth.
