Andhra Pradesh Seeks Investments from Top Tech Firms
Andhra Pradesh IT and HRD Minister Nara Lokesh met with top executives from several major companies, including Cisco Systems, Vivo India, Abbott, Mastercard Inc., SAP, Godrej Industries Group, and Yara International ASA, to discuss potential investments in the state. The meetings took place in New Delhi.
Lokesh requested that Cisco set up a manufacturing unit for unified computing system servers, switches, and routers, as well as an Engineering Center / Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Visakhapatnam. He noted that Cisco had previously signed an agreement with the A.P. government to train 50,000 youth in the Cisco Networking Academy.
Cisco's Managing Director Harish Krishnan stated that his company was involved in several initiatives in Andhra Pradesh, including the Visakhapatnam Innovation Center and the Vijayawada Smart City Project.
