Android 17 QPR2 Beta 6 Fixes Multiple Issues for Pixel Devices
Google has rolled out Android 17 QPR2 Beta 6 for Pixel devices, just a week after Beta 5 launched. The update addresses several issues that users had been experiencing.
The visual regression causing letterboxed content to leak through the status bar during activity transitions has been fixed (Issue #493438057). Additionally, problems with the screensaver displaying a blank screen while charging have been resolved (Issues #516262713 and #526560397).
Users of Pixel 9 Pro Fold devices may be happy to know that unexpected device reboots when initializing the camera viewfinder in third-party applications are no longer an issue (Issues #555960820, #558564487, #554763027, and #559421409).
The locked applications could not be dismissed using swipe gestures in Recents problem has also been fixed (Issue #555579953). Furthermore, a system kernel crash causing devices to reboot unexpectedly when third-party applications requested simultaneous camera and microphone access during biometric identity verification is now resolved (Issue #557712189). Lastly, an issue that caused device crashes, reboots, or hangs when scrolling has been addressed (Issue #559054323).
