Animal Kingdom Bus Depot Expansion Tackles Busy Park Closures
Walt Disney World's Animal Kingdom has undergone a significant operational change. The park's bus depot has been expanded, featuring four new bus stops for transfers to Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, EPCOT, and two nearby resorts.
The expansion aims to improve guest flow during busy times, particularly at park closing when thousands of visitors leave within a short window, creating long lines for buses. The new section includes themed signage, ceiling-mounted fans, queue railings, fresh pavement, and additional lighting to provide more organized waiting areas and help guests stay comfortable.
The transportation update comes as Animal Kingdom undergoes a major transformation with the closure of DinoLand U.S.A. to make way for Tropical Americas land, Pueblo Esperanza. The park is also preparing for future attractions based on Encanto and Indiana Jones.
