Anthropic Trails in Enterprise AI Agent Deployments
The enterprise AI agent market has a clear pecking order, and Anthropic's Claude platform is currently third in line. According to recent tracking data, Microsoft Copilot Studio commands 31% of enterprise agent deployments, followed by Salesforce Agentforce at 24%, and Anthropic's Claude API at 18%. Together, these three platforms account for 73% of all tracked enterprise agent deployments.
The primary platform problem is that enterprises tend to stick with what they already use. Microsoft Copilot Studio enjoys deep integration into the software stacks enterprises already run, making it a moat against switching costs. OpenAI's Assistants and Responses API has achieved stronger primary-platform adoption within surveyed companies, maintaining a competitive gap that Anthropic has yet to close.
However, Anthropic does have an advantage when it comes to enterprise LLM spend. A late-2025 report found that the company captured approximately 40% of enterprise LLM spend, overshadowing OpenAI's 27%. Anthropic's revenue growth has been robust, tied directly to increased platform usage across enterprise customers.
