Anthropic Valuation Surpasses $1 Trillion as Amazon and Alphabet Reap Billions

Amazon's investment in Anthropic has grown significantly, now worth around $190 billion. This is after Amazon put in about $13 billion and saw the private-market valuation of Anthropic climb towards the trillion-dollar mark.

The financial stake on top of a deep commercial partnership means that Anthropic has agreed to spend more than $100 billion over 10 years on AWS technologies and Trainium chips, securing up to 5 gigawatts of compute capacity for training and running Claude models on Amazon's cloud.

Alphabet's exposure to SpaceX is also compared, with Alphabet's original $900 million investment turning into a mid-single-digit-percentage stake worth roughly $80 billion to $90 billion at recent prices. This makes it the largest IPO in history, with SpaceX entering the market with a valuation near $1.8 trillion and currently trading in the $1.7 trillion to $1.9 trillion range.
