Antropic Aims to Shatter IPO Records with $2 Trillion Valuation
Antropic, a company that develops and operates AI model 'Claude', is expected to apply for listing at the end of this month. According to industry sources, Antropic plans to break the record for the largest IPO ever with a corporate value estimated at $2 trillion.
The market expects Antropic's listing to surpass SpaceX's $1.77 trillion after it was reported that Bloomberg had recently announced Antropic's preparation for public listing as early as this month. Competition among Wall Street investment banks is intensifying, with Morgan Stanley, Citigroup, Goldman Sachs, and JPMorgan Chase expected to participate as listing organizers.
As the largest IPO ever, securing a top organizer position in this large IPO has significant advantages, including receiving more fees than other participating banks and occupying an advantageous position in performance ranking under capital market supervision. In 2021, Antropic was established and became the world's most notable prospective listed company thanks to the explosive growth of corporate AI services such as coding.
Antropic raised $65 billion in May in recognition of its corporate value of $965 billion, more than competitor OpenAI's valuation of $852 billion. However, due to the enormous cost of developing AI models, Antropics' net loss last year was a staggering $42 billion, five times higher than the previous year.
