Apple Bolsters AI Chip Ambitions with PlasmaSolve Acquisition
Apple Inc., the tech giant behind popular products like iPhones and MacBooks, has made another strategic acquisition. The company has acquired PlasmaSolve, a materials science company that specializes in plasma-based manufacturing processes. According to the European Commission, PlasmaSolve develops solutions, including a plasma simulation software, to design and optimize these processes.
The acquisition comes at a time when Apple is increasingly interested in artificial intelligence (AI) chip development. This interest is reflected in its recent string of deals aimed at bolstering its AI capabilities.
