Apple Enters Foldable Market with iPhone Duo Launch
Apple has unveiled its first foldable device, the iPhone Duo, which is set to launch on October 23. This move marks Apple's entry into a category where several of its peers are already established.
The company's Asian suppliers have exposure to this new category, with some benefiting from every iPhone and others gaining specifically from foldable-only components such as ultra-thin glass and hinges.
Luxshare, for instance, has reported a 33% assembly allocation, up from 27% previously. This makes it the clearest share-gain candidate among Apple's Asian suppliers.
TSM, on the other hand, is reportedly the sole supplier of Apple's A20 chip and benefits from both the foldable iPhone and the wider iPhone 18 family.
