Apple Eyes Screenless Fitness Tracker Similar to Whoop

Apple is exploring the development of a screenless fitness tracker that resembles Whoop Inc.'s wrist-worn device. The company has been working on prototypes, which consist of a thin fabric band with a computing module containing sensors. This project is part of Apple's broader effort to expand its wearable product line.

Senior executives at Apple, including Executive Chairman Tim Cook and services chief Eddy Cue, have shown particular interest in this potential Whoop competitor. The prototypes are currently in the early stages, which Apple internally calls a technology investigation.

If Apple decides to move forward with launching the device, it would not be available before 2028. An Apple spokesperson declined to comment on the matter.
