Apple Foldable iPhone May Start at Over $2,000, iPhone 18 Series Prices to Rise

Citi analyst Atif Malik expects Apple's first foldable iPhone to start at over $2,000. The device, possibly called 'iPhone Ultra,' could have a starting price exceeding $2,000, according to Citi. TrendForce previously estimated the starting price of the 'iPhone 18 Fold' to range between $2,099 and $2,299.

The prices of other iPhone 18 models may also increase by around 10% to 20%, driven by sharp increases in memory costs. Apple's bill of materials (BOM) cost remains under pressure due to rising memory prices, which have surged nearly 400% year-over-year for the 256GB Pro model.

TrendForce believes that despite the need to control costs, Apple may adopt a moderate price adjustment mechanism, keeping price increases between 10% and 20%. This comes as Apple aims to expand its market share through pricing strategies amidst a weak global macroeconomy and cautious consumer spending.
