Apple iPhone 18 Pro Lead Times Soar as Demand Surpasses Last Year

Apple's new iPhone 18 Pro lineup saw increased lead times in its second week of orders, according to JP Morgan. The average lead time for the iPhone 18 Pro rose to 23 days from seven days in the first week, while the iPhone 18 Pro Max increased to 30 days from 19 days.

The lead times in Germany, the UK, and the US are now largely in line with those seen for the iPhone 17 series. China remains an outlier, but its gap is narrowing for the Pro model.

JPM analysts noted that while demand seems to be exceeding last year's cycle, it's too early to tell if this trend will continue. The bank suggests that supply chain feedback on production plan revisions, typically around November, would provide a more definitive signal of demand.
