Apple Rolls Out iOS 27 with Apple Intelligence Expansion and Siri Overhaul

Apple has started rolling out iOS 27 on September 14th. This major software update brings several new features, including Apple Intelligence expansion and Siri AI overhaul. These changes are not available on all devices, with iPhone XS and older models left behind.

The upgrade introduces a new Siri mode in the Camera app that allows users to point at objects, ask questions, and take actions directly from the viewfinder. The 'Photos' app has also been improved with features like Spatial Reframing, Extend, and Clean Up, which can change composition after capture, expand image boundaries, and remove larger distractions.

Other notable changes include Safari's ability to group tabs automatically by topic and a new 'Notify Me' feature within the browser that watches webpages for changes such as price drops or restocks. Messages and Mail now offer context-based one-tap suggestions, while Calls can surface relevant information from other apps during business calls.

The update is also expected to make iPhones feel faster, with app launches up to 30% faster, Photos loading new images up to 70% faster, and AirDrop transfers up to 80% faster. Apple recommends backing up data before installing the update.
