Apple Sees 13% Global iPhone Sales Growth Amid Rising Component Costs
Apple's iPhone sales saw a significant boost in the second quarter of 2026, with a 13% year-over-year increase in global shipments. The growth was fueled by the iPhone 17 series, which maintained stable pricing despite rising component costs.
According to Counterpoint Research, Apple outpaced the broader Chinese smartphone market, with iPhone shipments rising 23% from a year earlier. In Europe, shipments grew 22%, while South Korea posted Apple's strongest growth among major markets, with a 35% increase.
The US saw a 6% rise in iPhone shipments, driven by stronger carrier promotions for the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max. T-Mobile U.S. Inc. and AT&T Inc. offered trade-in subsidies of up to $1,100, compared to $1,000 a year earlier. However, India's shipment numbers slipped 0.4% due to persistent supply constraints.
