Apple Stock Slips as WWDC Fails to Quell Investor Concerns over Siri AI Timeline
Apple's stock price took a hit after the company's recent WWDC conference. The iPhone maker announced updates to its AI features, including a revamped Siri that can handle complex inquiries and perform tasks for users.
However, investors were disappointed by the lack of a definitive launch date for the new Siri features. Gene Munster, managing partner at Deepwater Asset Management, attributed the dip in Apple's stock price to this uncertainty.
'Craig says Siri AI in beta later this year, which explains the sell off,' Munster said on X. 'Investors wanted it in September. That means the real version is likely early to mid 2027.'
Apple's official website mentioned that Siri AI will be launched later this year and will be compatible with iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, and Apple Vision Pro.
