Apple Surpasses Record Market Value Under New Leadership
Apple's market value has reached an all-time high under new CEO John Ternus. The company's stock briefly surpassed its previous record of $344.57, reaching $345.34 moments after the market opened on a given day. This milestone comes just three weeks into Ternus' tenure as CEO.
Despite initial concerns following Apple's last quarterly results, which sent the stock down by around 10%, the company has gradually recovered some of those losses in recent weeks. On the day Cook passed the baton to Ternus, shares closed at $316.85, with a market capitalization of roughly $4.68 trillion.
The positive response to Apple's 'Surprise and Shine' event, which historically tends to be met with negative stock reactions, has also contributed to the company's upward trend. Over the past three weeks since Ternus took over as CEO, Apple shares have steadily climbed, suggesting investors are responding positively to the leadership change and the company's current roadmap.
