Apple Taps into Screenless Fitness Tracker
Apple is reportedly exploring the development of a screenless fitness tracker, similar to Whoop Inc.'s wrist-worn device. According to Bloomberg News, the company has been working on prototypes for several months and has received backing from senior executives.
The project, which is in its early stages, aims to create a wearable device that tracks fitness and health metrics without the need for a screen. The proposed device would consist of a thin fabric band with a computing module containing sensors.
Apple Executive Chairman Tim Cook and services chief Eddy Cue have shown particular interest in the project, with Cue taking on leadership of Apple's health initiatives last year.
