Apple TV+ Joins Amazon Prime Video Lineup at $9.99 a Month
Apple TV+ has become the latest streaming service to integrate with Amazon Prime Video. For an additional $9.99 per month, users can access Apple's exclusive content within their existing Prime Video subscription. This move is part of a larger trend towards bundling and unbundling streaming services.
According to Mike Hopkins, Senior Vice President and Head of Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios, 'Prime Video is a first-stop entertainment destination offering a wide selection of premium programming... We are proud to welcome Apple TV+ and its popular and critically-acclaimed shows, films and events to Prime Video.'
This integration means users can watch popular Apple TV+ content like 'The Legend of Vox Machina', 'Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power', 'Severance', and 'Time Bandits' alongside other Amazon Originals within a single app. This could simplify the streaming experience for consumers, who may find it easier to manage their subscriptions and access content without having to download separate apps.
