Apple Unveils Foldable iPhone Ultra at 'Surprise and Shine' Event
Apple's 'surprise and shine' event has kicked off in Cupertino, marking the debut of its highly anticipated foldable iPhone Ultra. The device is expected to share a similar form factor with Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold8, featuring a 5.3-inch outer display and a larger 7.7-inch inner screen.
The iPhone Ultra will reportedly miss out on a telephoto lens found in most premium smartphones but may include a nearly creaseless folding display with improved durability. The phone is expected to launch in just two colors, black and white, with a starting price above $2,000.
This marks the first Apple product launch overseen by new Chief Executive John Ternus, who took over from Tim Cook last week after 15 years at the helm. The event is significant not only for the foldable's debut but also because it is the first time in over a decade that Cook will not be presenting Apple's new products.
