Apple Users Flock to Latest iPhone Upgrade
A new survey by Evercore ISI suggests that Apple's upcoming iPhone upgrade cycle will be stronger than expected, with over half of users planning to upgrade to the latest model.
The survey found that 53% of nearly 4,000 consumers plan to buy an iPhone 18 Pro or Pro Max, up from the average of 51%. This is a significant increase in demand for Apple's higher-end devices, which could drive average selling prices (ASPs) up by more than 20%
The survey also revealed that 32% of respondents intend to buy the iPhone 18 Pro Max, compared to 29% last year. Additionally, 14% said they will purchase the new Apple product, the iPhone Duo, compared to 9% who said they would buy the new iPhone Air.
Evercore's survey points to a solid upgrade environment for Apple, with 61% of respondents planning to purchase an iPhone in 2026. This is slightly higher than last year's survey and marks the second strongest response in Evercore's survey history.
