Apple's 20th Anniversary iPhone Design Reportedly Cancelled
Apple's highly anticipated 20th-anniversary iPhone design may be in jeopardy. According to a report from 9to5Mac, analyst Edison Lee from Jefferies has downgraded Apple's stock rating to 'Underperform,' citing the possible cancellation of the all-glass iPhone redesign as one reason.
The rumored device was expected to feature an all-glass design and launch in September 2027. However, supply chain checks suggest that development on the project has come to a halt due to low yield.
Lee believes this decision is a major setback for Apple's efforts to increase prices amidst soaring memory costs. The analyst estimates that the device would have carried an average retail price of $2,060, higher than any previous iPhone model.
