Apple's China Sales Momentum Collides with $5.7 Billion Patent Verdict
Apple's iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max series has seen strong sales in China since its launch on September 18, with around 1.3 million units sold in the first seven days.
This marks a 15% increase compared to the same period for the previous generation, with the pricier Pro Max variant accounting for approximately 55.5% of total sales.
The Asian market is a key battleground for premium smartphones, making these early results a closely watched indicator of Apple's product cycle.
Despite this momentum, however, the company faces a significant legal challenge in the US, where a jury awarded Taction Technology over $5.7 billion in damages for patent infringement related to haptic vibration technology used in Apple devices.
