Apple's new CEO John Ternus is set to unveil the company's latest products on Wednesday, including a foldable iPhone that could become the category leader in the nascent folding phone market. Analysts expect the device to be priced over $2,500 and may not have the best cameras or processors, but its unique design is expected to drive interest.

According to Nabila Popal, senior research director at IDC, the Apple foldable will generate more than $45 billion in revenue for the company by the end of next year. The device's appeal lies in its newness after nearly two decades of candybar-style phones, and analysts expect Apple to benefit from entering late by solving key engineering challenges.

Ternus' challenge will be convincing customers to adopt the new Siri virtual assistant, which has been revamped using Apple's AI technology behind the scenes. Analysts say that a successful revamp by the end of this year could give Apple a good chance of pulling even with Google's Gemini assistant.
