Apple's iPhone 18 Pro Takes on Google's Pixel 11 Pro in High-End Smartphone Showdown
The latest flagship phones from Apple and Google have been released, each with unique features that set them apart. The iPhone 18 Pro is the successor to the iPhone 17 Pro, while the Pixel 11 Pro replaces last year's model.
The iPhone 18 Pro starts at $1,199, a $100 increase over its predecessor and Google's Pixel 11 Pro, which has also seen a price hike of $100. Both phones have impressive camera capabilities, with the iPhone 18 Pro featuring a variable aperture on its main camera that can manually adjust the amount of light hitting the sensor.
The Pixel 11 Pro, however, boasts a larger 48-megapixel telephoto sensor and supports facial identification assisted by its front-facing camera and machine learning. While both phones have impressive displays, the Pixel 11 Pro's screen shines brighter in sunny environments with its 3,600-nit peak brightness.
The iPhone 18 Pro runs on Apple's A20 Pro chip, which provides improved performance and gaming capabilities compared to the Pixel 11 Pro's Tensor G6 processor. In terms of battery life, the iPhone 18 Pro claims to last longer and charge faster than its predecessor, with a 30-minute wired charging test showing an 82% charge.
