Apple has entered the folding phone market with its latest device, the iPhone Duo. The phone was announced at Apple's California headquarters and is set to go on pre-order on October 18 for a price of £1,999/$1,999 with 256GB storage.

The iPhone Duo takes a passport shape when closed, with an outer display that measures 5.4 inches in width. It is also shorter than the Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold, measuring 117.8mm tall and 84.1mm wide compared to the Pixel's 155.2mm tall and 76mm wide.

The iPhone Duo has a 7.6-inch inner Super Retina XDR OLED panel that is widescreen when opened. It lacks a telephoto lens, but can achieve a 2x zoom by cropping from its main camera sensor.

Both the iPhone Duo and Pixel 11 Pro Fold have IP68 ratings for dust and water resistance, making them among the most durable foldables available in the market.
