Arajet flight DM6268 returned to Punta Cana on September 22 due to an aircraft maintenance requirement.

The Boeing 737 MAX 8, registration HI1098, had taken off from Punta Cana at 18:26 local time but made a precautionary return after the situation was detected.

The crew followed established protocols and procedures, and the aircraft remained in flight to complete operational management, including fuel burn to reach a suitable landing weight.

The return to Punta Cana was completed without incident, and passengers are being assisted by the Arajet team for rebooking on an alternative flight.
