Archer Aviation Acquires Wisk Aero LLC, SkyGrid, and Insitu from Boeing
Archer Aviation Inc., a leading player in electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft (eVTOL), announced on August 9, 2026, that it has entered into a definitive Equity Purchase Agreement with Boeing to acquire Wisk Aero LLC, SkyGrid, and Insitu. The acquisition is valued at an undisclosed amount.
The deal includes the purchase of all equity interests in Wisk Aero LLC, a company specializing in autonomous aviation technology; SkyGrid, a digital airspace integration and air traffic management platform; and Insitu Inc., a manufacturer of unmanned aircraft systems and AI-enabled technologies. The acquisition also includes related entities such as Insitu Pacific Pty Ltd, Wisk Australia Pty Ltd, and Boeing Emirates Ltd.
As part of the agreement, Archer Aviation will issue Class A common stock to Boeing, representing 19.75% of the company's outstanding shares. Boeing also received warrants to purchase additional Class A common stock, exercisable within specific timeframes.
