Archer Aviation Clears Hurdle in Acquisition of Boeing Subsidiaries
Archer Aviation has announced that the waiting period under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976, as amended (HSR Act), has expired. The expiration occurred at 11:59 p.m. EDT on September 18, 2026.
This milestone satisfies a key condition for closing the transaction between Archer and Boeing's Wisk Aero, SkyGrid, and Insitu subsidiaries. The deal is expected to create an end-to-end physical AI platform for aerospace and defense by combining the technologies of the acquired companies with Archer's product suite and leading purpose-built AI foundation model, ZEE.
The completion of the transaction remains subject to customary closing conditions, including receipt of certain regulatory approvals, which are currently underway. Archer expects the deal to close by the end of 2026.
