Archer Aviation Clears Major Hurdle in Acquisition of Boeing Subsidiaries

Archer Aviation Inc., which trades on the NYSE under the ticker ACHR, has cleared a major hurdle in its acquisition of Boeing's Wisk Aero, Insitu, and SkyGrid subsidiaries. On September 18, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. EDT, the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976 waiting period expired.

This milestone satisfies one of the conditions for completing the transaction, which is expected to create an end-to-end physical AI platform for aerospace and defense by combining Archer's product suite with Boeing's cutting-edge technologies. The deal will integrate Wisk's eVTOL aircraft, Insitu's UAS capabilities, and SkyGrid's airspace intelligence with Archer's leading purpose-built AI foundation model, ZEE.

The transaction still requires the satisfaction of other customary closing conditions, including regulatory approvals that are currently underway. Archer anticipates completing the deal by the end of 2026.
