Archer Aviation has announced its plans to acquire three subsidiaries from Boeing: Wisk Aero, SkyGrid, and Insitu. This move gives Archer access to proprietary technologies in autonomous flight, electric drivetrain, and uncrewed aerial systems.

The acquisition includes Wisk Aero's development of an autonomous electric air taxi, which was seen as a rival to Archer's Midnight eVTOL until now.

With this deal, Archer gains significant capabilities in the electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) space.
