Asian Markets Rise on Nvidia's Strong Earnings
Asian markets mostly gained on Friday after a strong performance from US stocks led by tech giant Nvidia, which surged 8.7% on better-than-expected quarterly results.
Nvidia's CEO Jensen Huang said AI has reached its inflection point and is 'doing useful work' with 'productive and profitable tokens.'
Shares in the region climbed, except for South Korea's Kospi, which fell 1%. Other markets saw moderate gains, including Tokyo's Nikkei 225, Hong Kong's Hang Seng, and Australia's S&P/ASX 200.
The Shanghai Composite index was nearly unchanged at 3,956.28, while Taiwan's Taiex surged 1%.
