Asia's AI Adoption Surpasses Cloud Computing Growth Rate

Google's cloud computing business is growing rapidly in Asia due to the increasing adoption of artificial intelligence (AI). According to Harsha Konduri, managing director for Google AI across Asia-Pacific and Japan, AI has become widespread in the region over the past two years. This growth rate outpaces the time it took for cloud computing to take hold, which was over 10 years.

Konduri sees huge potential for AI growth in Asia and plans to focus on building platforms with features such as security, governance, and cost management.
