Aston Villa Suffers Disappointing Loss to Brighton

Aston Villa faced a disappointing loss against Brighton and Hove Albion at the American Express Community Stadium, conceding four goals in the first half.

The game started slowly for Villa, with Victor Lindelof scoring an own goal in the eighth minute. Maxim De Cuyper doubled his team's advantage just ten minutes later. Jack Hinshelwood then scored two quick-fire goals at the hour mark, putting Brighton up 4-0.

Villa's Joao Gomes was sent off by the referee in the 40th minute, leaving his team to play with a man down for the rest of the game. Although they managed to stop the damage in the second half, Villa ultimately suffered a 4-0 loss.
