AT&T and Amazon have announced a partnership to bring satellite internet to business customers. The deal combines Amazon's Leo low-Earth-orbit satellite services with AT&T's fiber and 5G networks, making it the first major US telecom provider to offer this service.

The agreement targets enterprise and public sector customers seeking more reliable connectivity across technologies. Shawn Hakl, head of product for AT&T Business, said that while customers already have many connectivity choices, they need a platform that provides greater reliability.

Amazon Leo is still in the early stages of development, although AT&T is confident in the service. Amazon has been testing Leo with enterprise customers since November 2025 and plans to launch commercially this year. The company has already secured contracts across several industries, including a partnership with Delta Air Lines.
