Athletes Brave Rainy Conditions at Eastern Division Athletics Qualifiers

Eastern Division Athletics Qualifiers took place at Tailevu North College today despite unfavourable weather conditions. More than 10 schools from the Suva, Tailevu corridor participated in the event, giving athletes a second chance to qualify for the Coca-Cola Games through their respective zone meets.

Event coordinator Maciu Koroimatana expressed satisfaction with the strong turnout of parents and supporters who attended despite the rain. He acknowledged that competition remained intense for a place at the Coca-Cola Games.

Koroimatana emphasized the importance of events like these in developing athletes, as they not only provide another opportunity to qualify but also allow competitors to assess their performance and understand where they stand.
