Atlanta Woman Sentenced to 16 Years for Massive Amazon Fraud Scheme

An Atlanta woman has been sentenced to 16 years in prison for her role in a massive fraud scheme that stole nearly $10 million from Amazon. Brittany Hudson, 40, and her romantic partner Kayricka Wortham used fake vendors and invoices to trick the company into transferring funds. The scam ran from January to June 2022, with the couple using the stolen money to buy luxury items including a Lamborghini Urus, a Tesla Model X, and a Porsche Panamera.

Hudson was convicted of two counts of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, 17 counts of wire fraud, one count of conspiracy to commit money laundering, nine counts of money laundering, and one count of forgery of the signature of a federal judge. In addition to her prison sentence, she has been ordered to pay nearly $9.5 million in restitution.

U.S. Attorney Theodore S. Hertzberg described the scheme as 'a massive fraud' that showed Hudson's 'utter contempt for the law'. Wortham was previously sentenced to the same amount of time as Hudson.
