Attic Ladder Recall Issued by Health Canada Over Safety Concerns

A product recall notice has been issued by Health Canada for attic ladders sold at Home Hardware and The Home Depot.

The affected products are Louisville and Featherlite brand Attic Stairways with gas struts, manufactured on or before June 22, 2026.

The potential injury risk is due to quarter-inch chrome-coloured bolts used in the spreader assembly not meeting design specifications.

As of July 24, Louisville Ladder Corp. has received one report of an incident in Canada and 11 reports in the U.S., with one injury reported in the U.S.
