Aurangzeb Meets Boeing President Over PIA Modernization Plans

Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb held high-level meetings in New York to promote investment and cooperation in energy, climate finance, health, and aviation.

Aurangzeb met with Boeing's president and discussed plans to modernize Pakistan International Airlines' (PIA) air fleet. A revised proposal for the purchase of new planes was presented, along with arrangements for leasing aircraft on an interim basis.

The minister emphasized the need for a reliable strategy to address climate-related threats and highlighted Pakistan's efforts to expand private investment and partnerships in climate-related projects.
